Southern California Motorcycles began as the dream of it’s owner, Tom Hicks to create and open a different kind of motorcycle dealership.

Tom's long career in the motorcycle industry started in 1976. He was the president of a local motorcycle club and he started a small motorcycle service shop in his garage. He soon had more work than he could handle due to his philosophy of customer service and his attention to detail. He went to work at American Honda in 1980 as a motorcycle technician and quickly moved through the Customer Relations Department, Motorcycle Engineering Department, and on to Motorcycle Product Research. There, he was able to put his talents to work introducing new models to the press, doing product evaluation, public relations, and even set several world records in motorcycle endurance.

Tom went to work for Triumph Motorcycles in 1994 and was the first Sales Manager for the Western United States setting up Triumph's dealer network in the Western nine states. He was also very involved with Triumph's marketing and press relations. He even had the privilege of teaching Pamela Anderson how to ride the Triumph Thunderbird for the movie “Barb Wire.” Tom has developed a deep knowledge of Triumph during his employment with them, having been to the new factory many times and he owned many Triumphs. He has also put countless miles on all of the models.

Still working toward his dream, he took the position of General Manager of Race Tech in 1997. Tom led Race Tech into the streetbike market and especially offering components for Triumph’s.

Tom had developed a sense of how a dealership should operate and has been appointed to the Advisory Board of DealerNews Magazine. Tom put his experience, enthusiasm, commitment and theories to work on April 4th, 2000 when Southern California Triumph opened for business. Within 16 months, Southern California Triumph became the number one Triumph dealer in the nation. History was made in 2010 which marked the fourth year in a row that Southern California became the number one dealer in the U.S.

In April 2003, Southern California Triumph expanded and opened Southern California Ducati. Ducati North America presented them with the award for "Top New Ducati Dealer in the U.S." They were in the top five selling Ducati dealers in the U.S. from 2003 through 2006. They were the number one Ducati dealer in the U.S. in 2007. In 2003, Tom was appointed Press Fleet Manager by Ducati North America, and Southern California Ducati is the Press Fleet Center for servicing and maintaining the Ducati Press Fleet.

August 2005 saw the addition of Victory Motorcycles. Southern California Victory offered total commitment to the brand in the same fashion that has made Southern California Triumph and Southern California Ducati the premiere dealerships of their kind. Southern California Victory is now the best selling Victory dealer in Southern California.

In January of 2010 Southern California Polaris was created with it's own individual showroom offering everything for the Polaris ATV and Side-by-Side enthusiast.

Southern California Pre Owned department started in 2010. It accepts trade-ins and consigns motorcycles, and has a large selection of pre-owned motorcycles to purchase.

In April of 2011 we opened Street Eagle Motorcycle Rentals Brea / Anaheim right next to our Pre-Owned department. We rent Triumphs, Victorys, Harley Davidsons and can actually rent any motorcycle in our dealerships as long as it is a longer term rental!

In response to many requests and wanting to enhance our off road lines we opened Southern California Husqvarna in May of 2011!

Don Franzel is our parts and accessories manager. Our apparel manager is Val Chufo. With the assistance of Carolyn and Auburn in apparel, and Tony and Will in our parts department, they stay busy increasing our selection of parts inventory to provide you with the widest selection possible for the brands we carry. We will strive to provide you what you want and need.

TJ "Tom Jackson" is our Service Manager and fully qualified to provide you the best service available.
